The first edition of the summer camp at the IBSA Iberia Sailing Academy is about to start. Last May, IBSA Iberia signed an agreement with the Adapted Sailing School of Sitges to initiate a series of activities related to adapted sailing aimed at children and young people. This collaboration is part of the project Sailing into the Future. Together, through which IBSA collaborates with yacht clubs in Switzerland, Italy, and France, supporting their inclusive sailing activities aimed at people with disabilities.

A SUMMER FULL OF ACTIVITIES
Since May, the nine students of the IBSA Sailing Academy have attended two monthly navigation classes. In these classes, they have not only acquired technical knowledge about handling a boat but have also learned other important skills, such as preparing boats and knowledge of nautical knots.
Additionally, from 12th to 23rd August, the team of children and young people will participate in a nautical camp with daily classes from Monday to Friday, where they will combine sailing with other water sports.
"IT HAS BEEN A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY "
"We have always believed that sailing was an elite sport, not very accessible to people with disabilities. Seeing that we can sail and even handle a boat of these characteristics has been a unique opportunity for which we are very grateful," comments one of the students of the Adapted Sailing School.
At IBSA, we believe in the responsibility of generating a positive impact both in the community and in each individual. Therefore, IBSA Iberia trusts in this project in collaboration with the EVA, supporting sailing, a sport recognised for its inclusivity, educational value, and sustainability.
